Kelly Osbourne claims Simon Cowell refused to let the Osbourne family guest star on American Idol and pulled their appearance at the last minute.
In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne were discussing their unpleasant experiences with the “cutthroat” behind-the-scenes goings-on in the television industry.
Kelly, 39, opened up about a tense run-in with Simon before a planned appearance on the popular talent competition American Idol.
The family were apparently all camera-ready and about to go on before they were pulled away at the eleventh hour.
“Do you remember when we were meant to go on American Idol and Simon Cowell threw a s*** fit and we all were there waiting to be on camera and they pulled us off the set?” the Fashion Police star recalled.
“Simon was like, ‘I don’t want them on the show’ and had us taken off during the commercial break.”
Kelly’s brother Jack then asked their mother Sharon if Simon had ever brought up the incident again.
Sharon admitted “no”, adding he “probably doesn’t even remember”.
