Tiger Woods launches Sun Day Red, his new outfit: I’m not a kid anymore
In a nod to the color red that presided over the Sundays of his greatest glory, Tiger Woods announced Monday his new Sun Day Red clothing line, which he will debut as early as this week at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational.
“It’s the right time in my life,” Tiger said. “I’m not a kid anymore. I want to have a brand I’m proud of in the future.” The agreement with Taylor Made will not be a sponsorship but a joint venture in which it has not been disclosed what percentage the winner of 15 Majors will have.
This consummated the transfer to the company that for 20 years, until 2017, was owned by Adidas, Nike’s arch nemesis.
Sun Day Red will begin selling men’s-only apparel on May 1 through Sundayred.com, which is available now. Over time, Sun Day Red will expand its availability in key markets outside North America, at retail, and expand its product offerings to include footwear, women’s and children’s lines.
