David and Victoria Beckham: Sinitta quips ‘he wants me’ as bookies suspend divorce betting
DAVID AND VICTORIA BECKHAM denied they were splitting yesterday, with a representative for the couple slamming bookmakers Paddy Power’s decision to suspend betting that the pair would divorce as “laughable”. Now, The X Factor star Sinitta has had her say.
The Beckhams’ 18-year marriage was called into question yesterday when betting was suspended on them splitting by bookmakers Paddy Power.
A spokesperson for the bookies had stated: “We’ve decided to suspend betting on the separation between Posh and Becks.
“It looks like it’s a case of 1 becomes 2 with their marriage seemingly going down the loo.”
However, the couple’s rep slammed the decision as a “crock of s***e” to Express.co.uk.
Speaking at the DIVA Awards last night, held at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel in London, X Factor’s Sinitta, 54, shared her thoughts.
She told Express.co.uk: “That’s horrible… they’re like Brad [Pitt] and Jennifer [Aniston]… there are some couples who you think are like an institution.
“It’s meant to be, they’re the Beckhams!”
She added: “I hope it’s not true, I really do hope it’s not true… I mean if they can’t do it then who can?
“They’ve got everything right and they’ve got each other, what more do they want?”
She jokingly added: “Maybe he wants me!”
However, a spokesperson for Beckhams told The Sun: “There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.
“This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time.”
Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham, 44, penned a sweet message to David, 43, revealing the family were missing him as he is thought to be away in China.
The former Spice Girl cuddled up to the couple’s youngest child Harper, six, for a snap, which she uploaded in view of her 20.7 million Instagram followers.
The adorable offering saw Victoria closing her eyes as the twosome’s daughter flashed a smile for the camera.
She captioned the picture: “Morning cuddles x So much love. We love and miss u @davidbeckham.”(sic)
