Tiger Woods’ 14-Year-Old Son Charlie Wins High School Golf Championship with Dad Cheering Him on
The Woods family’s trophies have grown by one.
On Wednesday, Tiger Woods’ son Charlie, 14, competed in his first-ever high school state golf tournament, and the Hall of Famer was there to cheer him on.
Charlie, a student at the Benjamin School, competed with the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida school’s team, helping them to their fourth state title, according to USA Today.
The tournament took place at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. and Charlie came in 26th place. His teammate, sophomore Jake Valentine, helped secure the win for the team with a total score of 148, the outlet reported. Charlie’s other teammates tied for eighth, 12th, 19th, and 34th.
Wednesday’s exciting championship victory comes just days after Tiger, 47, caddied for his son at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship in Louisiana.
In a video shared on SB Nation’s Playing Through on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tiger walked quickly alongside his teenage son, whom he shares with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, as Charlie played in the tournament.
Charlie had secured his spot at the Junior Golf Championship with an age group victory in the second round of the Last Chance Regional back in September. Tiger had been by his side for that tournament, too, and caddied for him.
