Will Tiger Woods Ditch TaylorMade? Amid Nike ‘Fallout’ Rumors, Unexpected Competitor Threatens to Steal the Spotlight

If Tiger Woods severs the 27-year-old relationship with Nike, it might just open a new door for TaylorMade in brand partnership and acquiring one of the best golfers in the world. Indeed, it was TaylorMade who swooped in when Nike stopped making golf clubs and signed Tiger Woods to an exclusive deal. But this time it appears TaylorMade is not the only contender when it comes to winning Woods’s favor; another golf apparel brand has tried to woo Woods away and may have a strong case, especially when the said brand has been reportedly given a stamp of approval by none other than his son, Charlie Woods.

Talking about the same, Joe Pompliano shared his thoughts on the matter, suggesting that, according to him, this apparel brand is a more suitable option for 82X PGA Tour Champ than TaylorMade.

There have been rumors floating around Tiger Woods and Nike will end their nearly three-decade partnership, with the brand rumored to move away from golf. In the wake of these speculations, TaylorMade was again considered as Woods’s potential next apparel deal, given the brand’s indications of expanding into the clothing venture. However, Joe Pompliano thinks that the best choice for Woods would be Greyson Clothier.

Talking about TaylorMade, he said, “They have deals with other Nike golfers too including Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood. So if Nike were to reduce its golf offering or even shut down the business entirely, its easy to connect dots and see why a company like TaylorMade would make sense.” However, he believes “the more logical choice for Tiger Woods at least is actually Greyson.”
