‘Has to Suffer’- Rafael Nadal’s Practical Target Revealed as Boris Becker Gets Real on the Spaniard’s Comeback
The 2024 tennis season is going to be great for Rafael Nadal! No matter how this year ended, he is ready to give his 100% in the tournaments he will be participating in next year. While, for starters, he will be seen playing at the Australian Open, there is a lot more to the story. Recently, Boris Becker mapped out the practical target of the 37-year-old tennis player’s 2024 season.
The German tennis player, without any hesitation, detailed the tournaments that will have the 22-time Grand Slam Champion present as a player. Along with that, Becker made a strong statement about how Nadal must stand his ground to have a successful tennis season.
After being away for almost a year, returning to the sport won’t be that easy. But the Spaniard is ready to make a comeback and try his best to start from where he left off a year ago. While a lot of people have a different take on his comeback, Becker believes that there will be bumps in his tennis journey while revealing his practical target of the year.
Well, in an interview with Eurosport, the 56-year-old tennis veteran detailed how Nadal’s year can be filled with ups and downs. He stated, “I don’t think his expectations for Melbourne are sky-high right now: if he wins a few matches there, good for him. He will then concentrate on the clay-court tournaments early on. He’ll definitely play Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid and maybe even Rome in order to be 100 per cent fit again in Paris.”
