Tiger Woods leaves son Charlie stunned with driver trick during PNC Championship

Tiger Woods took part in the PNC Championship pro-am on Friday and impressed his son, Charlie Woods, after hitting his driver from the fairway.

Charlie showed his sense of humor as his father made his driver selection, saying: “You gotta be kidding me.” Despite the playful jab, Tiger blasted the shot off the deck, landing on the green.

As he hit the shot, the commentary team noted: “Peter, you recommend driving off the deck to the amateurs watching out there?” He responded by saying: “Probably not.”

A notable number of observers on X, formerly known as Twitter, voiced their admiration for the skill displayed in the shot. The light-hearted exchange between Charlie and his father had onlookers on the social media platform remind the young golfer who his father is.

One fan responded: “Tiger was like, ‘I’m about to show you why I’m the GOAT.” Another fan wrote: “You’re 15 majors and 82 victories short of that comment, son, now put this headcover back on my driver.”

Fans also commented on Woods’s legendary swing, with one saying, “I could watch that swing in a loop all day – also the putting stroke.” Another replied: “Where did that ball go? The old man is just showing off, and Tiger has done it again. This is such a dad flex. It’s the best.

Charlie and Tiger practiced together on Friday, showing off their nearly identical swings. They were getting ready for the pro-am event and were hitting flop shots when Charlie hit an impressive shot that caught his father’s attention.
