However, things were not always the same for the former Spice Girl. In a recent interview with the fashion magazine Allure, Victoria Beckham opened up about her struggles during her early childhood.
Despite the rough years, Victoria has remained unfazed as she continues to strive for success. However, even Victoria knows that her career as a Spice Girl is far behind her, as with time she’s come to the understanding that she’s growing old.
Victoria Beckham comments on her childhood struggles
In an exclusive interview with the magazine, the former Spice Girl opened up on her struggles during her early childhood. The fashion icon claimed she always had it tough at school with kids pushing her around.
Victoria stated, “I’ve never really told my story about being the underdog at school. I was bullied — a lot. Gosh, I suppose 11 or 12? I never fitted in socially. And when anybody is different, kids can be really mean. I remember being mentally bullied, physically bullied, literally pushed around.”
She then added, “My entire school life was a misery, an absolute misery. Kids can be bloody horrible. It gave me a tough skin for what was to come next. I never really talk about it because we had this British tabloid culture. It can be…challenging, shall we say.”
The former Spice Girl stated that she’s always raised her children to be kind people and step up whenever they see someone getting bullied. During the exclusive interview, the fashionista also acknowledged she’s growing old with time and has learned how to gracefully accept it.

While discussing her life with the magazine, Victoria also commented on how growing up has affected her. The businesswoman claimed while people are not usually ready to come to terms with their age, she’s taken things gracefully.
“I look back at pictures from when I was in the Spice Girls and think, Didn’t like your makeup there, didn’t like your outfit there. As women, I think a lot of us do that. I never thought I looked terrible. But I don’t look back and go, ‘Oh, God, I wish I was that again.’ It’s not as if I’m getting older and I’m like, ‘Oh, Christ!’”
