Andy Murray and brother Jamie then and now: Proud mother Judy shares childhood snaps of world No. 1s

Judy Murray must have been the proudest mother in the world as she celebrated both of her children ending 2016 as tennis World No. 1s .

Jamie Murray and his doubles partner Bruno Soares returned to the top of the ATP rankings after finishing second in th ATP World Tour finals.

The silver trophy was enough to see them overtake Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hughes Herbert at the top of the pile after the French pairing crashed out with a three round-robin defeata, including a loss to eventual winners Henri Kontinen and John Peers.

On Sunday, Jamie’s little brother Andy confirmed his status as the world’s best singles player by holding onto the No.1 ranking he won earlier this month in Paris with a straight sets victory against Novak Djokovic in the final, 6-3 6-4.

They become the first brothers in tennis history to simultaneously occupy the top of the year-end rankings.

In enjoying their huge success, mother Judy took to Twitter to share some very special images of where it all began for the brothers.

One picture showed the pair as rose-faced youngsters posing with a red football. On the image, she had transposed their 2016 ATP rankings.
