“Going To Jump for It”: Despite Sulking for Weeks for Disappointing Her Country, Nelly Korda Has No Intention to Back Off From a Greater Challenge
After last week’s Buick Open, this week the LPGA is hosting the BMW Ladies Championship in Busan South Korea where top female golfers have assembled to vie for the first prize. The competition is going to be hard thanks to the presence of some big names like Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda, and Jin Young Ko.
However, for Korda, it is not just this competition but other important events that are on her radar and she has been searching for the right moment to seize. Next year she wants to compete again in the grandest competition of them all.
Nelly Korda is competing for the first time since playing in the Solheim Cup last month. Though her team lost, her individual performance was not too bad with two wins and two losses. And with that being done and dusted, she has set her eyes on bigger goals. This week she is participating in the BMW Ladies Championship and is prepared for a big fight.
At the same time, Korda is prepping her mind for a big milestone that is to come next year, the Olympics. On Tuesday, during the presser for the BMW, she was asked about it by an interviewer: “The Olympics is just around the corner. It’s next year? If you are looking to take part in the Olympics and if you do so, then how will you approach it?”
