Days After Intensifying Rumors, Tiger Woods Drops a Major Comeback Announcement
Tiger Woods has been on hiatus since his ankle surgery back in April. Since then, we have seen the legend take a prolonged time off the course, but the recent sightings confirm his awaited recovery.
When Woods went through a near-death accident in 2021, he had to go through various procedures, and that made him miss major tournaments. Hero World Challenge, which Woods had not participated in since 2021, now has a spot reserved for his potential comeback.
Tiger Woods withdrew from the Masters 2023 in April and went through subtalar fusion surgery to cure his post-traumatic arthritis after the 2021 accident in February. The injury, which got aggravated the more he played, needed urgent care and has caused him to stay off the course.
However, in the past month, we have seen Woods out and about on the course. He was practicing at The Hay, a 9-hole course at Pebble Beach, which indicated that he was better off than before. Now, NUCLR Golf has posted the biggest update to date. Woods hosts the Hero World Challenge every year, including the 2023 edition. But the revealed field of players suggests that there is one slot left empty. The assumption is that Tiger is going to fill that slot.
