Why did Paige Spiranac retire from golf? OnlyFans star gave up on dream for new career
Paige Spiranac was once an aspiring professional golfer – but now she does a very different job.
She recently went into the complexities of her athletic journey during an episode of her Playing A Round podcast.
Having briefly turned pro after collegiate play at the University of Arizona and San Diego State, Spiranac expressed the emotional toll her short-lived pro career took on her.
Initiating her athletic endeavours in gymnastics, Spiranac transitioned to golf at 12, inspired by her father’s suggestion after briefly exploring tennis.
“I committed my everything to golf from the first swing,” she mentioned, pointing out her rigorous practice routines as a homeschooled child.
Despite being a top-ranked junior golfer, Spiranac and her family felt college would provide a diverse experience, especially given her homeschooling background.
“Despite consistent training and dedication, success in golf eluded me,” she confessed.
Challenging her parents’ belief that dedication guarantees success, Spiranac felt intense pressure, believing she had all the makings of an elite golfer but couldn’t achieve going full pro.
Her passion for the sport started to turn the other direction during her time at SDSU, and she sought more balance in her life.
At the end of her final semester in College, she made a last attempt to revive her pro aspirations, but the universe had other plans as Spiranac’s sudden rise to social media fame disrupted her academic career, leaving her two credits short of a degree.
