‘Monstrous’ Hands That Defiled Tiger Woods’ Name Find New Target in Son Charlie, leaving Justin Thomas a mere scapegoat
Anyone who keeps a tab on the current happenings in the golf world knows that Justin Thomas is no fan of Alan Shipnuck. The latter’s new book, ‘LIV and Let Die: The Inside Story of the War” has caused the second major divide in the golf world since the breakout league snatched some of the biggest stars from PGA’s grasp. The American sports writer dropped a bombshell when a 3000-word excerpt from his upcoming book revealed Brooks Koepka’s genuine feelings about his teammates, including Justin Thomas and Jordon Spieth.
Needless to say, it didn’t sit well with most. Justin Thomas tweeted that he and his fellow PGA golfers were sick of the 50-year-old journalist’s preposterous claims. Now, Shipnuck’s response to a Twitter user’s tweet confirms that no love is lost between the two. But this time, he has drawn Charlie Woods into the fray.
A Twitter user posted a picture of Charlie Woods with Will McGee, the son of Swedish golfer Annika Sörenstam. It was a picture taken at last year’s PNC Championship when Mike McGee, the veteran LPGA star’s husband, approached Tiger Woods to introduce his son.
The user, however, quipped at Alan Shipnuck, why he didn’t write positive stories such as this. But he referred to Will McGee, as Justin Thomas. This was no mistake, however.
The user, probably, compared McGee with Thomas because of the latter’s lean physique and also because Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods are known to be close friends. In 2022, Tiger and Charlie teed off against Justin Thomas and his father, at the PNC Championship.
Another user wondered if they were the only one who thought Charlie Woods had way too large hands for his age. Shipnuck agreed, commenting “Monstrous.” Incidentally, Charlie Woods’ jacked-up physique has garnered a lot of attention, including from PGA Tour pros.
