Yes, that’s Jordan Spieth using a pushcart around a local Scottish gem (and Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler joined him)
The current UK journey that Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler are on is a business trip for sure, but that doesn’t mean the star-studded trio can’t enjoy themselves along the way. Last week the boys took their wives to Wimbledon and downed a few pints—well, not JT because of his crazy diet—and on Tuesday, they took advantage of Scotland’s late sunset to jam in a special, extra round of golf.
Following a morning practice round at the Renaissance Club ahead of this week’s Genesis Scottish Open, the guys headed over to nearby North Berwick for a more fun round that even included the fourth member of the original #SB2K Crew, Smylie Kaufman, who joined late as a caddie.
Here are a couple videos captured of the group that includes various chipping/putting contests, mingling with locals, and even a very cute dog. Have a look:
Imagine being at the course and seeing three golfers with a combined 34 PGA Tour titles and six majors? Pretty darn cool. Not surprisingly, a crowd of locals gathered to watch. Although, not as big as the crowd that recently saw Harry Styles finish his round at St. Andrews. Sorry, guys.
But our favorite part was definitely Jordan Spieth using a pushcart throughout his round:
One of us, indeed. At least, for one round. Spieth shared the video on his Instagram story with the caption: #pushcartmafia. And in case you want to check out some of the best pushcarts on the market, click here.
In any event, these three friends will certainly have bigger crowds following them at the Scottish Open and at next week’s Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. But no matter how they fare at either event, it’s already been a successful trip across the pond. Oh, and don’t be surprised if JT returns with one of those dogs.
