I’d love to watch Rory McIlroy get punched in the face’ says LIV Golf star’s wife after Ryder Cup caddie controversy

PAT PEREZ’S wife has said she wants to watch Rory McIlroy get “punched in the face”.

The LIV Golf Wag hit out at the Ryder Cup hero in the comments section of an Instagram post last week.

Although the reason for her outburst is unknown, Ashley Perez is seemingly fuming with McIlroy.

“I can’t possibly be the only one that would absolutely love to watch Rory get punched in the face,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I mean that in the nicest way possible… kinda.”

McIlroy is coming off the back of an eventful Ryder Cup with Team Europe.

The Northern Irishman won four points from his five matches as Europe emerged victorious over the USA.

However, he was caught on camera having a heated altercation with American caddie Jim Mackay at the end of day two.

The pair were seen arguing in the car park at Marco Simone and had to be separated.

It later emerged that it had stemmed from McIlroy’s clash with Patrick Cantlay’s caddie Joe LaCava on the final hole.

LaCava had provoked McIlroy whilst celebrating a shot during his and Matt Fitzpatrick’s four-ball match against Cantlay and Wyndham Clark.

The four-time major winner has also been vocal with his opposition to the LIV Golf Tour in the past.

He previously insisted their roster needed the Ryder Cup more than it needed them.

Perez has been signed to LIV Golf since 2022, joining as part of a reported £8million deal.

He has yet to win on the circuit, though, with his best position a tie for sixth at LIV Golf London in July.
