‘Rafa Is Suffering..’- Despite Tempting Offer, Carlos Alcaraz Keeps His Head on the Ground as He Reveals ‘Ultimate’ Dream With Spanish Idol
Carlos Alcaraz is the apple of the eye of each tennis fan right now. The young Spaniard is one of the top players and dreams of going far in the sport. And if the track record is anything to go by, the young bull has a long, long way ahead of him. He shared one of his dreams about his near future as he looks for a stellar 2024 season. But he doesn’t imagine his victory as a solo one.
The 2023 Wimbledon Champion is eyeing the ultimate prize alongside one of his biggest idols, Rafael Nadal. While Nadal is the favored partner of Alcaraz, he is not alone in this regard. Rafa, at the tail end of a stellar career, is aiming to go out on a high note, as 2024 is likely to be his last season. Therefore, he is also looking to win with his compatriot, Alcaraz.
Carlos Alcaraz is currently in China and aiming to attempt to reclaim the top ranking once again. While he is aiming to go big in his present stint, he shared a dream with his fans for next year. The 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, and Alcaraz is aiming to win the gold for the first time in his career with the King of Clay. He talked to the China Open press about his desire to play in the tournament.
The Spanish trailblazer said, “Right now Rafa is suffering a lot. I hope he can return to training & that he can play next year from the beginning, that we have a healthy Rafa, ready for the Games. It would obviously be a dream for me to play doubles with him in Paris. It depends on both of us. There are many months left until Paris, many things can happen. I have to be healthy, work hard, & be ready for this tournament. We will see what happens, but it is clear that it would be a dream.”
