‘It’s like a heart attack’ Judy Murray describes stress of watching Andy at Wimbledon
The 55-year-old former tennis coach revealed she feels sick with nerves every time her Andy steps on court.
Speaking ahead of the Scottish number one’s fourth round tie with Croatia’s Ivo Karlovic at Wimbledon today, Judy revealed the agony of witnessing such high-profile games.
“It’s really stressful,” she told Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain.
She added: “I say it’s like a mixture of nausea and a heart attack all going on at the same time and it hasn’t got any easier, it’s actually got harder.
The 28-year-old was forced to take a time out and have his muscles manipulated by a fitness trainer before he could return to court.
However, Judy assured fans the treatment was “just a precaution”.
She said: “I think if you feel something the best think to do is get it sorted straight away.
Despite her nerves, Judy was in high spirits today as she greeted tennis fans in Wimbledon’s famous queue.
And it seems the Strictly Come Dancing star had a few fans attending, as a large group waited patiently with masks of her face.
“Nice welcome to the queue this morning. I’ve always felt I’d look better in a mask……@Wimbledon,” Judy joked as she posted a snap on Twitter.
