Jordan Spieth’s sister, who does not come to many tournaments, was with him at the PGA Championship this week. Spieth even talked about it after one of his rounds.
“Yeah, I heard her yelling when I was walking over the last barrier before the first tee. So I went down and saw my parents and Ellie. I didn’t hear them much on the course, I think they stayed back a ways. The crowds were big enough that I couldn’t pick them out, anyways. It’s awesome when she comes out to events.”
She chanted his name after his back-nine 30 on Saturday. Spieth has mentioned that she doesn’t care if he wins or loses. She just wants holes-in-one. That’s pretty clear from this photo of her in a “Spieth for president” shirt. A pretty cool moment for both. Even cooler for their parents.
