Canadian Glitz and Glamor to Add More Value to America’s Fastest Growing Sport as Eugenie Bouchard Jumps the Bandwagon After Jack Sock

In a surprising twist that’s got everyone talking, Eugenie Bouchard, the renowned Canadian tennis player, known for her powerful shots and thrilling performances, seems to be trying out Pickleball. The tennis superstar is now exploring this trendy sport, just like fellow tennis player Jack Sock. The latest update in the Pickleball sphere presented where Canadian tennis player, Genie Bouchard, has now joined the Professional Pickleball Tour in 2024.

Eugenie Bouchard, who has had an underwhelming 2023 tennis season, recently took a break from her usual training. After her regular tennis practice, she decided to give the padel a shot back in December 2022. Who knew this random trial and attempt would have resulted in a career switch?

Bouchard, however, is yet to comment on the news, so the prospects of her continuing her tennis career in the WTA still remain a big question mark. This news was confirmed by the PPA Tour. The update read, “With one of the biggest signings of the year @geniebouchard, professional tennis star with a WTA #5 career high in singles, joins the PPA Tour in 2024!”

Bouchard’s interest in pickleball aligns with the growing trend of tennis stars exploring alternative racket sports. This trend was further exemplified by 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, who recently expressed his fondness for the sport. Bouchard is not the only one who is taking a switch to the game. Recently, Jack Sock, the American tennis sensation, has decided to retire from tennis and go all-in with pickleball.
