No Baby Luck for Nelly Korda; Despite Having a Role Change, the American Miserably Fails To Show Her Worth on LPGA?
With her latest life-changing update, Jessica Korda stunned the golf fraternity. Announcing her first pregnancy Jessica has taken a hiatus from the greens for some time. This is also big news for the younger sister Nelly Korda, who is going to be an aunt.
But despite her recent promotion, the younger Korda hasn’t been able to show her might on the LPGA Tour this year. As this week dawns at the CPKC Women’s Open in Canada, fans desperately wait for her to bag a win.
Professionally, 2023 hasn’t been that great of a year for Nelly. She hasn’t been able to bag a win on the LPGA Tour this year. Her last win came in October 2022 at the Pelican Women’s Championship.
Her withdrawal from the inaugural Mizuho Americas Open and her performance streak in the major and other tournaments hasn’t been what Korda has always given to her fans. However, in her defense, her health issues have been on the rise this year too. The blood clot that she got operated on last year and the back pain that continues to linger have been a roadblock on her way to success.
Her short sabbatical after missing the cut at the PGA Championship seemed to have worked for a while as Korda won the individual round at the Aramco Team Series in London in July on the Ladies European Tour.
