“Not a Good Feeling”: Tensed to Cash In on the Home Advantage, Brooks Henderson Wears Her Investigative Cap to Find a Solution
It has been reiterated by many professional golfers that golf is a game that comes with a lot of mental pressure. Every sport is tough physically, but golf takes it up a notch with the mental pressure it brings to the table. The fans’ expectations and golfers expecting good performance from themselves are just a lot! Oh, and when you are representing your own country on your home soil, the pressure goes up a notch!
And, Brooke Henderson agrees with us! After the CPKC Women’s Open was halfway through, she sat with the media and discussed how it feels to play on your home soil and be the face of golf in tournaments like these. Not only the pressure she feels, but the golfer also discussed the solution for the same!
Brooke Henderson discusses the kind of pressure she feels while playing in her home country
The 25-year-old LPGA phenom is currently competing in the $2.5 million event with all her zest and determination. The event is halfway through and the leaderboard looks pretty interesting with Megan Khang sitting on top, while Henderson stays put at T11 tied with 10 other golfers.
She ended her first day of the tournament on the other side of the cut line with +3 on the board, so the second day was a silent battle for the Canadian star. She put 4 under on the board, and finally ended her 36 holes with the overall score of 1 under and made the cut.
