Martina Navratilova involves Serena Williams on trans athletes issue
Martina Navratilova came back to talk about the trans-issue: a subject she addressed a few days ago, and which has raised many controversies. This time the 9-time Wimbledon winner responded with a tweet on X/Twitter, also involving former US legend Serena Williams.
Navratilova is against transgender athletes born male participating in women’s sports.Giggle founder and CEO Sall Grover shared a post on X in which she explained her perspective on the controversial topic, writing:”I simply don’t understand why some people think it’s controversial to say that women are physically weaker than men.
I mean, do these same people think women just allow rape to happen? Do they think women’s sport is separate just to be annoying? Do they think at all?”A fan added to the post the words that Serena Williams had released in an old interview.
In that interview, Serena said that she wouldn’t want to play against men because they are bigger, stronger and faster than her.She said at the time: “Men are much faster than me and they can serve better. They just hit a different game and I like to play with women tonight.
I don’t want to play with girls because I don’t want to be embarrassed.”Navratilova responded to the fan’s comment by writing: “It’s a fact, it’s called biology.”
