Slow Play is a hot topic on the golf scene these days. Many are frustrated by the behavior of Patrick Cantlay, but also by Xander Schauffele and their slow play. There were a great deal of reactions to both, most of which were negative.
Despite this, they believe that what they are doing is correct and do not see it as a problem. Paige Spiranac, a well-known golfer and model, responded with a video on Twitter in an attempt to express her opinion on slow play.
“Slow play in golf has been a huge topic of discussion, so let’s talk about it,” Spiranac said in her video.“The conversation picked up steam when Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka were waiting on every single hole at Augusta, honestly, I’ve seen paint dry faster than that round was finished”.

It would appear that Paige Spiranac does not think this is a good thing and drew a comparison between golf and other sports to illustrate her point.“And the rebuttal is always, ‘But they’re playing for majors and a lot of money, so they should take their time.’ Look at any other sport.
They’re not just going to extend the time because they’re playing for a championship,” she said.As far as Paige is concerned, the leaders of golf organizations must react appropriately to situations like this.
The players who act in such a way should be penalized for their actions. According to Spiranac, this is the only way to solve a problem of this nature.“Slow play is unsportsmanlike and a form of cheating. I don’t understand how this is not fixed yet.
It’s easy — penalize them if they don’t hit it in 40 seconds. That’s it,” Spiranac said.The question is, however, whether this problem will be solved and whether there is a will for such a thing.
