“He beat how many players?” Golf Twitter left UNIMPRESSED despite Cameron Smith’s dominating performance at LIV London

After dominating the first two rounds of LIV London, Cameron Smith, took the $4 million prize home and came out victorious. The Aussie international had another strong performance in the final round and finished one stroke clear of Patrick Reed.

Smith shot three-under 68 to notch his second title on the LIV circuit. His previous win in LIV was at the Chicago event in 2022. This win though has not gone down well with golf fans, who later trolled him and the league.

Despite his heroics, Smith and his team, the Rippers finished second to 4Aces GC. The team competition was taken by the Dustin Johnson-led side after Smith failed to put this putt away at the end. “Yeah obviously thrilled about the individual win but it would have been nice to get up there with the boys,” he said after winning the tournament. He later added how he has mixed reactions regarding the win.

Twitter reacts as Cameron Smith claims second LIV crown

Fortune favors the brave and it certainly favored Cameron Smith. After dominating the whole tournament, he did suffer a minor slip-up near the end. The final leaderboard saw him finish one shot ahead of Patrick Reed and teammate Marc Leishman. He though was able to keep his cool and did just enough to hang on to the crown of LIV London.

The LIV league might be having a hard time with the golf merger, but there was no stopping them. The Saudi-backed tour had a great time in the UK capital with Smith gaining much-needed momentum. Fans though were not so impressed with this and made their voices heard. Once again the LIV league found itself under the backlash and here are a few reactions to the moment.
