‘I DON’T KNOW’ Harry Styles casts doubts over whether One Direction will return from their hiatus in his first solo interview
The interview One Direction fans have all been waiting for may include the news they definitely didn’t want to hear
IT’S been just over a year since One Direction announced they were taking a break and now Harry Styles has hinted the band’s hiatus could be longer than expected.
In his first solo interview the singer has cast doubt over whether the band would ever actually make a return.
When asked about the future of One Direction, Harry said: “I don’t know.
“When we started people always asked, ‘where do you think you’ll be in five years?’ It’s a difficult question to answer.
“I would never say we’ll never do anything ever again but it’s good for us to be exploring different things.
“Maybe at some point everyone will want to do something again but it’ll be better if it happens naturally like, ‘Hey, we all really want to do this again’. If that were to happen it would be amazing.
“I would never rule that out. It’s the most important, greatest thing that ever happened to me, being in that band. It completely changed my life.”
In the interview with Another Man, Harry was quizzed by Paul McCartney and his good friend Chelsea Handler.
Speaking about splitting off from Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, Harry explained: “The nice thing for me is that I’m not coming away from the band feeling like I wasn’t able to do what I wanted to do.
“I loved it and it was what I wanted but I’m enjoying writing at the moment; trying new things. I’ve been asking myself, ‘What do you want to say?’
