Rafael Nadal sends classy message to Novak Djokovic as French Open winner in tears
Novak Djokovic received a heartfelt message from long-time rival Rafael Nadal after breaking his Grand Slam record

Rafael Nadal was one of the first players to congratulate Novak Djokovic for setting a new men’s singles Grand Slam record. The pair were previously tied on 22 each but the Serb pulled ahead by winning the French Open. And he was in tears after making history.

Djokovic rewrote history on Sunday as he became the first man to lift 23 Grand Slam trophies and to win all four Majors at least three times. With the win, the Serb will also return to No 1 in the world and is now halfway to completing the Calendar Grand Slam.
