Tennis star Sir Andy Murray’s mum Judy puts her stunning Stirlingshire house up for sale

The traditional Scottish-style country house has beautiful views over the hills towards Loch Lomond but the new owner will need deep pockets and there isn’t even a tennis court.

It’s game, set and a perfect house match for tennis fans wanting a taste of the high life in Stirlingshire as Judy Murray has put her luxurious country pad up for sale.

Sir Andy Murray’s mum is on the move and her beautifully refurbished house is now on the market with elite estate agents Savills.

Dating from the 1930s and of a traditional Scottish design, the house sits in a wonderfully private and secluded position and yet is just minutes away from the University of Stirling and the cafés, boutique shops and restaurants of Bridge of Allan.

The property features a welcoming hall, with all the main reception rooms off here. An elegant and spacious drawing room boasts a beautiful bay window looking over the gardens and has a contemporary inset fireplace and wooden floor.

The breakfasting kitchen is lovely: a Shaker style series of cabinets continues the country house feel, as does the professional standard range cooker with its mantelpiece surround.

The master has a recently upgraded en suite shower room, as does one of the other double bedrooms, and there is also a family bathroom.

A further staircase leads to the second floor where at present the L shaped attic houses an office with built in desk and a gym.

Judy , who brought up her tennis star sons Jamie and Andy in nearby Dunblane, said: “I loved Khyber House from the first time I saw it. It’s like a little white castle sitting above the town and looking out over the hills.
