Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims responds after he mistakenly reveals gender of their baby

The four-time major winner and his model wife announced they were expecting a child earlier in May but had not made public the baby’s gender until this weekend

Brooks Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims, has admitted that she wasn’t mad at her husband for inadvertently revealing their baby’s gender during an interview. The four-time major winner referred to the expecting couple’s child-to-be as ‘he’ when discussing the pregnancy during a LIV Golf event.

Earlier this month, Sims announced that she and Koepka were expecting their first child on the American golfer’s 33rd birthday. The two married last summer after being in a relationship for five years.

When announcing that she was expecting, Sims, who is a model and actress, did not disclose the gender of their baby at the time. The announcement featured Koepka holding a sonogram while his wife exposed her bump.

The golfer only kept it a secret for less than a fortnight before unwittingly gendering their baby during an interview at a LIV Golf event in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Koepka was choosing which traits he wanted the baby to inherit from himself and his wife when letting slip their baby’s gender.

“I hope he gets a lot more traits from my wife than he does me,” a laughing Koepka said via the New York Post. “I think, me, probably discipline. I think I’m pretty disciplined when it comes down to work. And then my wife’s sense of humour. You always want to be funny, right?”
