‘We Are Disappointed…’: Hours Before the $25,000,000 Tulsa Event, Greg Norman’s LIV Golf Suffers Another Setback

After getting a lot of backlash from the golf community ever since it came into being, the second season of Greg Norman’s LIV Golf has finally commenced. The rival Tour has 14 tournaments in different parts of the world. Thirteen events have individual and team contests. The final 14th event ‘LIV GOLF Team Championship’ will be held in Saudi Arabia.

After successful events in Adelaide and Singapore, LIV Golf is now moving to Tulsa, USA. Players are gearing up for the tournament, and fans are excited to watch their favorites on the field. However, due to a health concern, one golfer will sadly be missing future competitions.

Significant setback for LIV Golf before the event

One key squad member will be absent from forthcoming events for the Majesticks team. They will be led by co-captains Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, and Lee Westwood. Sam Horsfield, an English golfer, had to withdraw from the LIV Adelaide event during its second round owing to an injury. He underwent surgery to address his “niggling hip injury.”

Laurie Canter will play in the four-member team until Horsfield is fit and on his feet again. Three-time DP World Tour winner and young Englishman Horsfield also won the Soudal Open last year. After joining LIV Golf, fans were excited to see him play with veteran golfers like Poulter and Westwood. However, fate had something else planned for him. When he will be back on the pitch again is unknown at this moment.
