Talor Gooch fires back at Dustin Johnson after LIV star’s brutal dig at former teammate

Talor Gooch has fired back at his former teammate Dustin Johnson after securing back-to-back LIV Golf victories this weekend

Talor Gooch has fired back at his former 4Aces teammate and captain Dustin Johnson, after the former secured his second LIV Golf title in the space of seven days. Gooch has enjoyed quite the week on the Saudi-funded circuit, winning both LIV Adelaide and LIV Singapore, earning him a cool £6.4million ($8m) in the process.

His victory in Singapore came with added importance on Sunday, as it helped his RangeGoats teammates to the team title, as well as his individual success. The triumph with the RangeGoats was Gooch’s first team victory since prevailing with his former side the 4Aces last campaign, after captain Johnson led them to the season-ending team championship in Miami.

The 2020 Masters champion was also up on the podium last weekend, as the 4Aces secured their first team title of the season after prevailing in Adelaide. Speaking after the event, Johnson was questioned on whether he was pleased for his former teammate but gave a brutal response.

Claiming that he was glad to have ‘snipped’ Gooch from the 4Aces, the reigning LIV seasonal champion said: “Yeah, obviously I like Talor, and he did really well for us last year, and obviously he played great this week.
