Wayne Gretzky has had a career like no other in the NHL and it would be easy to crumble under the weight of expectation as his daughter. However, Paulina Gretzky has taken it in stride becoming a model, an actress, a pop star and the mother to Dustin Johnson’s two children. Here, Express Sport takes a look at the life of the LIV Golf star’s better half.
The couple met in 2009 but only started officially dating in 2013, and would get engaged just seven months after going public with their romance. The couple announced their marriage in April 2022 and Gretzky has taken a keen interest in her husband’s profession during that time, caddying for him at the 2016 Masters Par 3 tournament.
She’s frequently been spotted at golf events whenever Johnson plays, and is expected to be at the Masters this weekend. There had been uncertainty over whether players for the Saudi-funded LIV series would be allowed to play at Augusta, but a deal was struck allowing them to compete.
The pair also used Johnson’s talents to announce the gender of their son River Jones as the six time World Gold Champion hit a golf ball into the sea, exploding into a puff of blue powder
Despite having famous parents, Gretzky didn’t venture into the public eye until she turned down the chance to go to college in order to pursue a modelling career. Her career began to take shape when she acted in in Fame (2009) Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012) and Grown Ups 2 (2013).
