Andy Murray worth and salary: How much has Andy Murray earned from tennis before retiring?

ANDY MURRAY net worth figures have shot up throughout his career. Express Sport rounds up how much the British tennis legend has earned ahead of his imminent retirement.

Andy Murray is on the verge of retirement following a heartbreaking press conference ahead of the Australian Open.

The British superstar missed a large chunk of the 2018 season after undergoing hip surgery

The recurring problem has plagued Murray since 2017 and he admitted in a tearful press conference that although he will take to the court in Melbourne, the end of his career is fast-approaching.

Murray said: “I have been struggling for a long time. I have been in a lot of pain for about 20 months now.

“I need to have an end point because I’m just playing with no idea of when the pain will stop.

“Wimbledon is where I would like to stop playing but I am not certain I am able to do that.

“I’m going to play [in Melbourne]. I can still play to a level. Not a level that I’m happy playing at.

But it’s not just that. The pain is too much really and I don’t want to continue playing that way.”

Murray will be desperate to reach Wimbledon in July after enjoying huge success as the All England Club.

As well as picking up two Wimbledon titles, the 31-year-old raked in the top cash prize from the tournament, adding to his overall net worth.

Murray has enjoyed several lucrative sponsorship deals and big prize money wins throughout his career, adding up to a healthy balance for his retirement.
