Elin Nordegren has taken her first public swipe at ex-husband Tiger Woods for humiliation she suffered by cheating on her with over a dozen women.
The former nanny spoke about her “personal storm” and how she had endured the most challenging times of her life while addressing graduates at a Florida college.
Nordegren, who received £60m in a divorce settlement three years ago after her golf star husband’s multiple affairs made worldwide headlines, has never spoken in public about the painful split.
But she referred to the split when asked to give a speech to other graduates at a college where she was awarded a degree in psychology after nine years of part time study.
She said: “My psychology and law class helped me through some of the most challenging times of my life that involved legal matters.
“It offered me a place of peace in the wild storm of my personal life.”
