Daniil Medvedev: ‘My wife is helping me to earn more’

Daniil Medvedev commented on his wife Daria’s role in having success at the highest level.

 

The Moscow native, who got married last year, said: “She is my biggest support and she helps me on all the aspects of the life. As a family, we work together to make being a better

 

 

She is helping me to earn more. That’s our main goal. She is special for me. We started our relationship in an interesting way, I understood she is special.”

 

On how he got more professional as years went, Medvedev added: “I played Sascha Zverev in the Washington quarter-finals, at the time he was playing like crazy and he won both in Washington and Montreal.

 

 

I spoke to my coach and he told me that I should have become professional. I did not understand why and he told me that it’s tougher to win when you want to play PlayStation, stay on the sofa, watch TV programmes.
