‘I Don’t Think People Really Understand’: Tiger Woods on His Gruelling Setback and Return to Golf

Tiger Woods finally made his comeback to competitive golf at the 2022 Masters. After an intense round, the 15-time major championship winner wrapped up his Masters campaign at Augusta on Sunday. Moreover, after the World Golf Hall of members’ final round, he spoke to the media about his past struggles and return to golf.

The 82-time PGA Tour made arguably one of the greatest comebacks in golf history. He played his first official event since the 2020 November Masters. Not to forget, Woods met with a fatal accident in February 2021, and as a result, he injured his right leg severely. As a result, the five-time Masters champion was out of the sports for nearly nine months.

Moreover, the 46-year-old played exceptional golf in all four rounds and made a strong comeback in the game. Woods spoke to the media after his final round at Augusta. The golf legend spoke about how tough the past year was, and how he fought all the challenges to make his comeback at the Masters.

Tiger spoke about the same in an interview on Sunday. He said, “I don’t think people really understand. The people who are close to me understand. They’ve seen it. Some of the players who are close to me have seen it and have seen some of the pictures and the things that I have had to endure.”
