Charlie Woods put on the spot by Justin Thomas with ‘snoopy hat’ question as Tiger cringes

Justin Thomas turned reporter as he quizzed Charlie Woods on his viral choice of attire – leaving his legendary father Tiger amused. The duo were competing with Thomas and his father Mike at the PNC Championship as 15-time major champion Woods made his return to competitive action.

The Woods team could not capitalise after a superb opening round 59 in the 36-hole scramble event as they finished an underwhelming tied-eighth in Orlando. Vijay Singh and his son Qass lifted the trophy in a tournament where family fun often takes precedence over intense battles down the stretch.

And talented 13-year-old Charlie was one of the main attractions at the event with the inevitable hype surrounding the son of golf’s most transformative player.

The teenager chose to wear a hat with the logo of the comic book character Snoopy over the weekend – and that decision was questioned by world no.8 Thomas after the final round. Thomas shares a close relationship with the Woods family, and became the interviewer as he asked Charlie: “What is the background behind the Snoopy hat?”
