Brooks Koepka gives LIV Golf staff moms flowers for Mother’s Day, continues incredible redemption arc
The Brooks Koepka redemption arc nears its apex. He logged a vintage performance at the Masters on a healthy knee, reminding the world just how electric his golf game can be. He’s stopped taking potshots at anything with two legs and a last name. He’s about to be a dad and his beloved Panthers are in the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s all coming up Koepka.
His incredible run continued on Sunday before the final round of LIV Golf’s Tulsa stop, when the the Smash GC skipper took time out of his day to give all the mothers on the LIV Golf staff flowers and gift bags for Mother’s Day. Fire up the “awwww” machine.
Needless to say, this is a kinder, gentler Brooks Koepka than the one who used to belittle reporters, kick Bryson in the nuts every chance he got and say things to the effect of “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” at every non-major event he played. He always seemed like the kind of guy who was impossibly charming to moms before keeping their daughters out past curfew. Now he has them back by 11 p.m. sharp (metaphorically speaking, he’s a happily married man).
Next up for golf’s biggest mama’s boy is the PGA Championship, a major he has absolutely bullied in the past. Can he make it three Wanamakers in the past six years? With the moms of the world on his side, anything is possible.
