Golf World Laughs at ‘Sh***y’ Jordan Spieth Situation at the PGA Championship

World No. 10 Jordan Spieth, is having quite a time at Oak Hill in Rochester, New York. The golfer, who entered into the PGA Championship chasing a career grand slam, kicked things off with a dismal opening round on Thursday.

On his second day out at the field, his 2-over 72 left him inside the cut line but barely, at 5-over and ten shots off the lead. Even the weekend tee time that the 29-year-old worked so hard to secure got off to a unique start, evoking hysterical reactions from golf fans!

Jordan Spieth opens Saturday with a shot into the porta-potty

3-time major winner Spieth kicked things off on Saturday with a sh**ty shot. Literally. As the third round began, an early shot from the golfer ended up in a place at Oak Hill, where all the porta potties are situated. The PGA Tour’s Shot Tracer even hilariously showed the golfer’s ball sitting adjacent to half a dozen porta potties.

But how did the rest of the third round go for Spieth? After his stinker of a shot, the golfer was granted temporary obstruction relief. He then followed it up by hitting a shot toward the first green, which struck a tree and fell straight down on the ground. The PGA Tour pro eventually wrapped Saturday up with a 1-over 71.

As he heads into the event’s final day, Spieth currently stands at 6-over par through 54 holes. When the final round kicks off on Sunday, the Dallas native will aim to swiftly rise atop the leaderboard.

Fans react to Jordan Spieth’s stinker
Oak Hill has proved to be a daunting course for many, with many big names like Matt Fitzpatrick, Jason Day, Talor Gooch, and Rickie Fowler surprisingly missing the cut. Amidst the sheer tension, Spieth’s porta-potty shot has brought much relief to golf fans, eliciting hilarious reactions from them. Many jokes even came at the expense of an injury-laden golfer, who has visibly struggled on the challenging course over the past few days.

It is safe to say that the dad jokes will follow Spieth wherever he goes, for some time at least. He may have failed to impress fans with his play so far, but the golfer has managed to breathe some hilarity into the tense tournament, albeit unintentionally.

With the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Corey Conners, and Bryson DeChambeau at the top, the PGA Championship appears to be heading toward a nail-biting finish on Sunday. It is safe to say that the final round at the Oak Hill Country Club will truly be a spectacle unlike any other.
